i appreciate narrative experimentation, but i am getting so used to each episode having some sort of compulsory twist that any scene that seems to purposefully withhold details is a part of a larger cheat. there a lot of unnecessary devices being used to simply mislead the audience. it is bullshit and the writers know it.
lost is bobbling on the tight rope. it needs to start consistently kicking ass again.

what's frustrating about it?
something will happen on the boat. someone is shooting near the temple, which appears to be a dharma station. (maybe the orchid?) locke will do something. jack will yell at someone. a deal will be struck so if the O6 get off the island, they have to lie and say the fake crash is real.
the whole story is pretty transparent now.
the weird things like the monster and jacob and the sickness/time travel will eventually work out.
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

the producers claimed that the four-toed foot statue will play a super-major role in the overall story. that's incredibly exciting. I'm ready

Were there some ninjas on this island?

the producers confirmed some interesting things in the latest podcast:
Ben's mother = apparition Sawyer's Boar = animal Medusa Spider = monster Dave = apparition/imagination Yemi = Monster Kate's horse = undead Mikail' Cat Nadia = animal Walt = some have been apparition, some have been monster Boone in Locke's dream = dream
i think the apparitions/ghosts are likely manifested by the island, and as such, are somewhat monster-related. the medusa spiders that killed nikki and paulo were the MONSTER. weird.
