I heard that, but it's since been SOLD OUT. I've never watched a comedian live before, so I don't know what to expect. I pray it's not TOO funny, because I may explode.
He was in Birmingham a couple years ago but I was unable to attend.

it's weird to see comedians perform bits you are familiar with, but it's incredibly rewarding to see great comedians perform familiar bits and watch them grow and change, find new inflections and little selfish additions. it's great to find ways the comedians find ways to continue to enjoy their old bits.
I don't know how into stand-up you are, but this will be a great night for you.

NO! I thought I would. They weren't out when I pre-ordered it. I don't know why I didn't get it. I also got the black vinyl and not one of the limited colors.
I wish I got one or the other, not the absence of both.

Got my vinyl today - not colored, no cassette. Must have sold pretty well!
I've seen the cassette available out there in fileshare land, though...

The new, fairly mysterious, Awkwardcore compilation, I think. No tracklist. Just a facebook post... I guess Awkwardcore is playing this one close to the vest.

So what exactly is Awkwardcore Studios? Is it the neato setup the latest Fewn record was recorded in? When was the Deerhoof track recorded?

cb!* So what exactly is Awkwardcore Studios? Is it the neato setup the latest Fewn record was recorded in? When was the Deerhoof track recorded? *coolbeans Awkwardcore Studios is my basement, and 6 of the compilation tracks were recorded there! Fewn, Dirtman, Painted Rocks, Anti-Octopus, The Music Tapes and Bogs Visionary Orchestra (the latter of which features a veritable parade of musicians). Additionally the Goodbad track was recorded long ago at the previous Awkwardcore Studios (the basement of the Rainbow Ranch). I don't know when the Deerhoof track was recorded, but it's not from a live show in the usual sense of the word. I don't know the whole story, but the track originally arrived to me with someone saying "take 4!" at the beginning.
