Thom, what is your interpretation on the ending of Inception.
Personally, I have no idea. I would like to think the end is reality, for the sake of a happy ending. (And because in "reality", Cobb doesn't have a wedding ring, but in dream-state, he has one.)
But there are several items that support the "the entire movie is a dream!" or "after Cobb tests the sedative, everything is a dream!" theories. Namely, the "Wouldn't Fischer recognize Saito as his father's biggest competitor?" question.

(Spoilers)
I'm curious about how Nolan chose to begin the film with Cobb meeting old Saito in limbo. That would seem to support the "whole movie is a dream" scenario, but I can't exactly pinpoint why.
Overall though I think what Nolan is saying with the ambiguous ending is that it doesn't matter whether the end is a dream or not. Cobb still had closure with his wife and still got to see his children again.

I'm predicting right now that my top ten movies of 2010 will all be films in which Leonardo DiCaprio copes with the death of his wife.

i lean a lot in the direction of the end still being a dream, i think there is a lot of evidence to support that. but the main issue is the top was in a down spiral and teetering towards a fall right at the end, the top never span anything but perfectly otherwise. however, i was also thinking that the top spinning infinitely was ultimately a creation he had made himself to differentiate between reality and dream and he could certainly have wanted it to be real so much that he subconsciously created the top to fall to assure himself.
i was also thinking that nolan left it ambiguous for that reason as well but that seems pretty contrary to what the film (and nolan) is saying all along... cobb came to the conclusion at the end that his projections of reality could never make up all the intricacies of another actual person so he shouldn't actually be content with either/or reality but rather only the real one. (if we are sticking by what he claimed in his confrontation with mal at the end.) which is why is think it was actually reality or he somehow convinced himself subconsciously to believe that what he created there was reality.

I loved Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Edgar Wright is the man. Probably the most fun movie I'll see in theaters this year, though I'm hoping Machete comes close.

Yeah, Scott Pilgrim had a lot of energy and creativity and Michael Cera pulled it off despite my concerns. Read the comics first, though. The emotions come across a bit better on the page.

I loved Scott Pilgrim. It's my favorite movie of the year. I've been reading the comic since, but I don't really care about the emotions. I just thought the movie was hilarious. The directing (direction?) was awesome and I agree that it was an incredibly fun movie.

I cannot recommend THE BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS more. It is one of the greatest cop movies of all time. Cage should win an oscar.

Nick Cage is off the hook in that movie. I couldn't agree more.

Black Swan isn't great. It's not bad. It's not great.
It's time well spent, I guess. I recommend it, but in the same way I would recommend dipping fries into a Wendy's frosty.
