5 good music documentaries
1. loud Quiet loud, a film about the Pixies 2. Danielson - A family movie 3. I am Trying to Break your Heart (the Wilco one) 4. Untitled (the Modest Mouse one) 5. Tripping with Caveh (the Bonnie Prince Billy on mushrooms one)
P.S. Thom - yesterday Trustknot and I listened to the Ned Danny interview about Four Weddings and 3000 Funerals and the trailer and we were totally cracking up. Just wanted to say that.

i haven't seen any of those music documentaries but the tom dowd dvd is pretty nifty.
ps thanks i totally forgot about that interview. i was SO not ready to do it because i didn't know anything about 4 weddings and 3000 funerals because it doesn't exist. i just know it has an awesome poster and ned got the idea from a tv show called "wedding 911".
ps i want to hear what the hklove/trustknot band has done! and i want that band to remix whiskers songs.

my top five favorite moments on joanna newsom's Ys5. "your feast is to the east which lies a little past the pasture" 4. the very end of "cosmia" where she sings wordlessly 3. "awful atoll, oh incalcuable indiscreetness and sorrow" etc 2. "squint skyward and listen..." 1. "and in the moment i slept i was swept up in a terrible tremor" etc. also, the part where bill callahan sings backup in "only skin" is pretty fucking good. number one needs to be the time she sings "why the long faaaaaaaaace" higher than the rest
