It's okay if you liked it! I liked it. Doesn't mean it's not disturbing.

I don't really watch documentaries, so the ones I do watch are the superpopular ones. Exit Through The Gift Shop is a really cool movie. Recommended!

The Kids Are All Right is really good. (Shoulda said "is Alright", but I liked it more than that)

Jean-Luc Godard '60s movies are so great. Especially Vivre Sa Vie. Seriously wanna learn French. Anna Karina was HOTT!

(Warning: editoral)
What is wrong with my taste in movies?:
I have no desire to see The King's Speech, because the trailer and ads remind me of Mr Holland's Opus for some reason. Boring "feel good" yuck. I have to wait a year or so before seeing it to avoid any bias I might bring to it.
I have no interest seeing in The Fighter because: David O Russell is a jerk and a schmuck and his movies aren't good. Also: boxing as a metaphor is the worst metaphor there is, and I haven't seen any movie about tough guys in Boston that didn't make me hate them and their KIND: movies about Boston dudes that are proud of their shitty upbringing make me feel HATE and I don't like that.
But I feel pressure to see these things. I guess it's similar to people recommending "incredible" books that I end up finding BLEH.
The Social Network was overall a huge disappointment. The score should have just been Music for Airports and Sorkin should have got Mamet to punch up the script, or at least remind Sorkin of how he used to make boring things interesting.
Am I just a dumbass? I can't wait for Transformers 3. Seriously. But also, Gummo should have won an oscar. Mulholland Drive should have won an oscar. I guess I just don't like movies that pretend to be better than they are.

Anyone else seen "Revanche"? I finally watched it on instant Netflix and was blown away.

I saw Matthew Barney's Cremaster cycle over the weekend. Can't really begin to express what I saw. If you have the chance, you can probably get by just seeing parts 2 and 3 which are the most recent ones (and the most well-realized).
I also saw the documentary Catfish the other day which is on DVD now and worth seeing. Don't read too much about it ahead of time.

Monsters is like Cloverfield with character development.
In other words, it is really good.*
*My opinion
